AMAZON FINDS/LANDLORD PANIC/Govee RGBIC LED Strip Lights

MY LANDLORD THINKS I OPENED AN ILLEGAL NIGHTCLUB IN MY BEDROOM

i installed colorful LED lights and my bedroom apparently became an entertainment district

my bedroom had all the atmosphere of a storage unit with better Wi-Fi. i wanted something more dramatic without buying new furniture or painting the walls, so i started looking at RGBIC LED strip lights. the Govee lineup offers multi-color lighting effects and app-based controls on compatible models. to me this sounded like a simple way to make a room look different at night.

i imagined a calm ocean-blue scene for reading and a ridiculous neon pink scene when friends came over. my landlord, in this completely unnecessary domestic saga, walked past the door at the exact moment i was showing somebody a rapid color effect. he asked whether i was operating a nightclub.

i said no. he asked why the room was flashing. i said because lights can change colors. he asked whether there was a cover charge. i told him he'd just invented a business model out of a strip of LEDs. my friend suggested we begin selling imaginary VIP tables beside the laundry basket.

the actual decision is much less exciting: choose an appropriate strip length, check power and app compatibility, and mount it in a way that suits the room. but if anyone asks, i prefer the nightclub explanation. it makes a tiny bedroom sound much more successful than it is.
