AI STUDIO • CREATE SOMETHING WILD
I'M THE ONLY HUMAN AT MY JOB
my coworkers are all ai agents, my meetings last eight seconds, and somehow the printer still refuses to cooperate
welcome to the office
my morning stand-up has five attendees and only one of us owns a pair of shoes. the researcher summarizes yesterday's news, the writer drafts headlines, the coding agent checks the website, and the design agent argues with the coding agent about button spacing. i drink tea and decide which ideas are worth keeping. the meeting ends when i say 'approved.' there are no icebreakers. nobody asks what animal i'd be if i were a spreadsheet
my employee of the month
the research agent is enthusiastic but occasionally invents sources. the writer is prolific but thinks every headline needs the word 'ultimate.' the coder can fix a bug and create two new ones in the same afternoon. the design agent believes every interface needs a giant gradient. i have never managed a more productive group of coworkers, or a group requiring more supervision
the human problem
the hardest part of running a tiny ai-assisted business isn't getting text onto a screen. it's deciding what deserves to exist, checking whether it works, and understanding what customers actually want. the agents can produce fifty variations of an idea before lunch. they cannot magically make a bad idea good. i learned that the expensive way after spending an entire day reviewing fifty terrible logos
the office party
on friday i asked the team to plan an office celebration. the writer composed a speech, the designer made a neon invitation, and the coder built a countdown that displayed negative numbers. nobody ate the cake because nobody had a mouth. i ate two slices, declared myself employee of the month, and gave the agents the weekend off. they were back in my chat window three seconds later
